Stunning

I was looking for a Michael Kors watch, for approx a week, but could not decide from the many styles. Finally, I chose this one when I saw a live pic on another site. It ranked high on my visual style scale; used to determine if I would like it long term, or not. So in saying that, I bought it. I am pleased to say, it is gorgeous. The materials are good; but the design, coupled with super excecuted craftsmanship, and attention to details, is what makes this watch so breathtaking. The resin horn bracelet is not yellow; it is like a frappachino with a smidge of honey swirled within; so beautiful. Also, lightweight & extremely comfortable. Love the 3 functioning subdials. But what sets it all off, is the gold trim on everything. Markers which are gold faceted, with 2 swarovski crystals inset. Minute, and hour hands are trimmed in gold, with luminous tritnite in the center. It is amazing that the mother of pearl dial reflects, the cream color in the bracelet, as well as blues, pinks, and greens. The face is large, and prominate, but since the bezel is narrow, it's not overpowering, nor manly looking.I have stepped outside of my box when it comes to designer watches. I prefer the Italians, and Swiss, because they are built with heavy duty materials, and they don't look cheap. This designer has changed my perception. Lesser expensive can be beautiful as well, if done with awesome design, and a manufacturer that can do the design justice. I pray that the gold on the case, and bezel doesn't fade, like the 18, 24kt. gold electroplated stainless does. However this Michael Kors watch 5217 was a fabulous buy @ 177.00, and I am proud to wear it!!!!!!!-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Follow up: Oct. 17,2011.. The trim on the watch is still yellow gold; and has not faded. I even wear it during rainy, humid weather. Still looks great! I must inform others; Put your watch on after your hair is finished...No hairspray. I do wipe my watches off after I take them off; then I put them back in their case.Follow up: Nov.27,2011.. Still yellow Gold, and shiny. And still gett'n compliments on it.I have purchased watches that were way more expensive; and also clad in 24kt. that started to fade on the first day out the box.

gorgeous but flawed

I LOVE a nice watch. I have about 6 or 7 and they are really the only thing i splurge on. This one is by far my favorite; it looks amazing and since purchasing it i have noticed it on at least a dozen other women, even though it is a mens watch. However, the other day at work it literally slid off my wrist because the links had come undone. I brought it to a watch repair shop immediately and about a week later, it happened again. I have only had the watch for about 5 months and find this unacceptable. I am also terrified i might lose it without noticing one day. Im not sure if anyone else had this problem, but i have several other link-band watches and have never had this problem. Man i love this watch, i just wish it had better support in the links.

The watch looks even better in person. I bought it for myself even though it's a mens watch. It's definitely large but doesn't overwhelm my wrist. Shipping was great also. I got it less then a week after my order date.

Gorgeous!

I have not given this watch to its intended recipient just yet, as it is a Christmas present; however, I DID open the box to determine what the best way of wrapping the watch is and when I saw the watch I fell in love and, to be honest, kind of feel like buying one for myself. The watch is elegant and has a presence, it has the right weight, and the color combination looks SOOOO much better once it's in your hands than what you can see from a picture.

Great watch,as expected.Arrived new in box,with retail tags.Just as promised.However - please note,that it is pretty heavy and it sticks to your skin (band is rubber,no wonder),so in summer it might become a problem....Other than that,good product.

Solidly built

I have pretty small wrists and was afraid that this watch was going to be too wide and bulky- it isn't and I am very happy with the overall aesthetics of the watch. I do notice that I'm wearing a watch when am using my hands, however (like when talking to someone), as it is a bit heavier than most of my other watches. I imagine I would get used to this though.Its construction is solid and the links are quite comfortable since they're coated with a rubberized material. You cannot really tell from the photo, but the links are wrapped with the rubber material vertically. So if you were to look at the watch from the left or right side, you would be able to see the gold links in between.

I have a very small wrist. I have tried big watches before and always send them back. This watch came and although it is indeed large and I had to have links taken out, I kept it and am glad I did. It's pretty, It's comfortable, I can see what time it is without my glasses(!) and I can get it wet! I am a bit of a sucker for Michael Kors merchandise anyway, and this watch was no exception!

"A watch to remember"

This watch is beautiful and classic. Wearing it will get a lot of attention. The quality is definitely high and its appearance shows it. I highly recommend this as a gift or even for yourself. I was seeking watches night and day for about two weeks. The watch I first wanted was from 'Michele', a white with gold style pricing for about $218. However, the band is just rubber. Compare to Michael Kors, the band contains rubber over the links of the bracelet. When I first received my watch, and tried it on and the band was too big. I thought I was stuck with an oversize band. Luckily I found a small jewelry/watch repair shop and the store manager was kind enough to remove three links and size it down perfectly to my wrist. He did charge me $8 for the job that beats paying $225+ tax for the watch @Macy's. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase because of the great price and fast service. I hope this will help you decide.

Looks great - at first

My boyfriend was very excited about getting this watch and when he opened the box he wasn't dissapointed. It looked great. However, after about a week the black started to come off the links in the band. So, sadly, we had to return it.

Very sleek watch!

Ordered this watch online for my husband's birthday without seeing it in person because none of the stores I went to had it. I took the chance and really lucked out. It is a gorgeous watch, very sleek and stylish. Yes, it looks like it would be quite difficult to read the numbers in the dark but so would any of the "blacked-out" style watches. Very pleased!

Exceeded Expectations

I purchased this watch as a gift and had it sent to the receviver's home. I did not get to see it in person prior to delivery which made me a little nervous. I received a phone call from the receiver once gift was delivered and he LOVED IT! He stressed that the watch was perfect and the style fit him perfectly. I am so happy and thankful that he enjoyed this gift.I would recommend this seller to anyone.Thank you.
