Looks Plastic

Keeps time well enough. The face of the watch is very pretty and is easy to read although the smaller dials within the face are difficult to set. It has a very plastic look to it (not really a tortoise shell look), glad we did not spend full price at a department store.

Do not buy from Certified Watch Store

This watch band broke about 9 months after it was purchased. I called Certified Watch Store and they would not fix even if I paid for it. They sell inferior products that are not up to the quality you can get from other places. They do not stand behind their products at all. I took the watch to a local jewelry store and they said it was a flaw and can't be repaired. So now I have an expensive paperweight.
