Very substantial, heavy watch

I got this watch from my husband as a gift and have been wearing it daily for about a month now. I had been pining for a Michael Kors watch for a while and so I was delighted to get one. Here are my thoughts on this piece:1. WeightThe first thing I noticed about this watch was its weight. It weighs a whopping 5.5 oz., making this by far the heaviest watch I own. This piece is even heavier than all of my husband's watches, just to give you an idea. So if you dislike having heavy stuff on your wrists, this is probably not the watch for you.2. DimensionsThe watch is also quite thick (high) and the bezel is big in diameter as well, so on a petite person this could easily look too oversized. Make sure to check the measurements before you buy.3. Quality/Featuresa. It seems to be made well, and so far the time display has been accurate. I have not tried the chronograph function but assume that it works.b. Although this is a chronograph, this model succeeds at avoiding the crowded, busy look many chronographs have. It has a clean, modern design and is easily readable, even for a person with vision impairments like me: I am extremely near-sighted but with glasses I am also fighting far-sightedness so I usually have to hold my arm stretched out in order to see the time with my glasses on.c. Even though the hands basically have the same color as the face, the time is quite easy to read.d. The watch also has a glow in the dark feature (hands) - very useful in movie theaters, etc.4. Miscellaneousa. The size of the crystals around the bezel is average only. Personally I think they could have been a tad bigger to correspond better with the chunky dimensions of the watch. Not too much though because when the crystals are too large, a watch can quickly look rather cheap.b. The bracelet accomodates even larger wrists, it is generous in size. I love the spring clasp which allows the bracelet to close easily and also be opened quickly without fumbling around. The bracelet not opening all the way (i. e. "separating" when opening it) makes for better security too as the watch can not accidentally drop, or only if one's arm was pointing straight downward while removing the watch.All in all a nice timepiece which I enjoy wearing.
